Polish death metal outfit DECAPITATED has come forward regarding the rape allegations by a woman claiming to have been gang-raped by the entire band on their tour bus on August 31st during the band’s trek in the U.S. All of the members of the band, Michal Lysejko, Waclaw Kieltyka, Rafal Piotrowski, and Hubert Wiecek, have been arested and are currently being held in Los Angeles County jail without bail. The band issued the following statement on their Facebook page:
The band was supposed to embark on a tour with Kreator and Dagoba in January, but in the light of the recent events have cancelled all touring plans. According to Washington state laws, this specific case is characterized as first degree rape. First degree rape is a Class A felony and is, as such, punishable by a life sentence and/or a fine of $50,000. The alleged victim has been taken to a hospital, where it was determined that she suffered “significant bruising to her upper arms” which is consistent with being restrained.
