Prosecutors dropped the charges while citing the “well-being” of the alleged victim, though specifics on that statement were unclear at this time.
The trial was scheduled to take place on January 16th. At this time, the band has yet to release a statement and we will update you as soon as we hear from them.
At the time, the woman alleged she had attended the band’s August 31st concert with Thy Art Is Murder in Spokane, Washington. She alleged that she entered the bus for drinks at which time members of the band forced themselves on her.
The band released a statement at the time saying “the original officer who took the complaint from the accuser stated, ‘I do not have probable cause that a rape occurred.’” They added that they were “confident that once the facts and evidence have been seen and heard, they will be released and able to return home.”
