AVANTASIA and SONATA ARCTICA To Headline Varna Rock Fest in Bulgaria

German metal opera legends AVANTASIA and Finnish power metal veterans SONATA ARCTICA are among the first artists confirmed for this years’ edition of Varna Rock Fest in the city of Varna, Bulgaria. The festival is going to take place August 16th to 18th at the Port of Varna. Last year, the festival welcomed renowned artists such as Nightwish, Kamelot and Apocalyptica, to name a few.

The ticket prices are as follows:

From 24.12.2018 to 28.02.2019 – 100 leva (51€) 
From 01.03.2019 to 30.05.2019 – 120 leva (61€)
From 01.06.2019 – 140 leva (71€)

Single-day tickets will also be available according to the promoter, Rock & Events.

Avantasia, the symphonic rock opera project led by frontman Tobias Sammet (Edguy) announced the release of their brand new album titled “Moonglow”, a follow-up to their highly acclaimed 2016 release “Ghostlights”. Finnish melodic metallers Sonata Arctica have announced they have entered the studio to start recording their tenth studio album, due in 2019 through Nuclear Blast. Their latest album, “The Ninth Hour”, was released in October 2016 also through Nuclear Blast. The disc was produced by the band members themselves and mixed by Pasi Kauppinen.
