JUDAS PRIEST are set to release their new album titled “Firepower” early in 2018. The band is going to promote the album with a North American tour kicking off on March 13 in Pennsylvania. The follow-up to “Redeemer of Souls” released in 2014 was produced by longtime producer Tom Allom, Andy Sneap and engineer Mike Exeter.
As Sneap revealed in an interview you can read at this link, “we had 26 ideas that we were working on, which we boiled down to 14 or 15 now. And there’ll probably be 12 or 11 songs on that album. We haven’t decided which ones yet.” Sneap also revealed that the album contains “a lot of classic moments.”
Meanwhile, Judas Priest have also been nominated for induction into the highly acclaimed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along nineteen other candidates including Bon Jovi, Dire Straits, and Radiohead. The 2018 inductees are going to be revealed in December, followed by an induction ceremony to take place on April 14, 2018.
