Former HELLOWEEN singer Michael Kiske who recently reunited with the band for a special tour dubbed “Pumpkins United” recently revealed that the band is working on new material as a seven-piece, also to feature former guitarist and founder Kai Hansen. Could the yet-untitled track be closer than we think? The official Helloween website frontpage reads “The Pumpkins are United. And we have a gift for you” with a date: Friday the 13th, October 2017. Is the band planning to drop a new track tomorrow? Very likely, since the track titled “Pumpkins United” clocking at a little over 6 minutes is already available via iTunes in Japan!
Meanwhile, the tickets for the upcoming reunion tour are selling fast as the band has already sold out several shows in Germany, Finland, Japan and several other countries. Kiske and Hansen will join the current Helloween lineup consisting of singer Andi Deris, guitarists Michael Weikath and Sascha Gerstner, bass player Markus Grosskopf and drummer Dani Löble. Their latest album “My God-Given Right” was released on May 29th, 2015 via Nuclear Blast Records.
