German power metal legends HELLOWEEN are set to replace MEGADETH on the upcoming shows in Brasil due to Dave Mustaine’s recent throat cancer diagnosis. Helloween will perform at festivals including Rock In Rio and the first edition of Rockfest along with acts such as Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Armored Dawn, Europe, and Sepultura.
The band states: “We were very sorry to hear the news about Dave Mustaine that forced Megadeth to cancel their entire tour, but we are more than happy to announce that we were asked to jump in at the Brazilian dates listed below!
We are very happy to be part of Rockfest, Roadfest and Rock Live and play again at Rock In Rio. And we really look forward to rock our Brazilian fans together with the Scorpions, Whitesnake, Europe, Armored Dawn, Sepultura, and Iron Maiden – see you there! We wish Dave Mustaine all the best and a quick recovery!”
Helloween are going to tour Brasil on following dates:
21/09 – Rockfest – São Paulo – Allianz Parque – with Scorpions, Whitesnake, Europe and Armored Dawn.
23/09 – Roadfest – Uberlândia – Arena Sabiazinho – with Scorpions and Whitesnake
25/09 – Rock ao Vivo – Brasilia – Ginásio Nilson Nelson – with Scorpions
28/09 – Rock ao Vivo – Florianópolis – Arena Petry – with Scorpions
01/10 – Rock ao Vivo – Porto Alegre – Gigantinho – with Scorpions e Whitesnake
04/10 – Rock In Rio – Rio de Janeiro – with Iron Maiden, Scorpions e Sepultura
