Finnish heavy/power metal newcomers BEAST IN BLACK have been announced as the support act for NIGHTWISH’s upcoming European leg of the “Decades” tour, which sees the band celebrating their 20th anniversary. Beast in Black was formed by Anton Kabanen after his departure from Battle Beast in 2015, and consists of Kabanen and Kasperi Heikkinen on guitars, Sami Hänninen on drums, Yannis Papadopoulos on vocals and Mate Molnar on bass. Their debut album “Berserker” was released last year via Nuclear Blast and received numerous praises. The band recently wrapped up their tour supporting Rhapsody on their farewell tour across Europe (you can read our gig review from Budapest here).
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Nightwish has released a two-disc compilation titled “Decades” featuring remastered versions of their greatest hits. “Decades” was released on March 9th via Nuclear Blast. The band is currently touring the US and have a number of festival dates scheduled for the summer. The European leg of the tour starts November 2nd in Gothenburg Partille Arena in Sweden.
